Some who read this may know that we have live music nearly every Saturday night at Ugly Mugs. What you may not know is how important it can be for someone if you come enjoy a free show. This Saturday night, our friend Tyrus Morgan will be playing a 45 minute set at 6pm. Tyrus is the person that has been doing to the artist booking for us, working only for a free cup of coffee once a week. In addition to being a great friend, songwriter and artist, Tyrus and his wife Casey are doing something that makes one of the greatest impacts in the world. They are adopting a little girl from Ethiopia. Courtney and I have for a while been thinking about how we could possibly help our friends with the vast expense of bringing their little girl home. So, this Saturday we are going to team up with our customers and are going to donate 10% of our sales for the entire day to their adoption fund to try and bring little "M" home. (They know who their daughter will be but cannot share pictures or her name until she is legally theirs, so they are calling her "M" for now.) So we are asking you to support Tyrus, Casey and M by visiting us on Saturday. Ten percent of the money you spend will make the biggest difference in a little girl's life. And following Tyrus' set at 6pm, stick around for the Mosaic Writers in the Round hosted by James Tealy, feature Dewveall and Sarin at 7pm. You can follow the Morgan family journey here. Be Well...Jarod, Courtney and Liam.
